Our Lady of Fatima parishioners,
As you may have already heard, a hard freeze hit the Palisade, Colorado area on the morning of April 13th at a time when all the peach fruit trees were in full bloom. As a result of a record-breaking 24 degree low temperature, C&R Farms lost 100% of their peach crop and no peaches are available for the Knights of Columbus to sell this year. In replacement for the Knights’ “Peaches For Seminarians” program, the Knights are asking Our Lady of Fatima parishioners to support them in their 2020 Peaches For Seminarians Donation Program. The Knights are accepting monetary donations and 100% of the money they take in will be given to men at Denver’s seminarians who will be our future priests and pastors. For your information, the Knights gave $500 each to nineteen(19) seminarians last year and with your support they would like to provide support this year to an equal or increased number of seminarians.
Attached is a flyer that tells about the Knights’ 2020 program. The flyer is attached to this message and contains the different options available to you for donating to their program.
If you have purchased peaches from the Knights’ in prior years, the Knights would like to thank you for your past support and they hope you are able to find a way to be a part of their 2020 program. If you have any questions please give Dave Schneider a call at (303) 988-2510.
